Where It All Began
In 2009, Josh Collins and Michael Orsini Collins met as Theme Park Entertainers. After years of captivating audiences themselves, they developed a deep understanding of what it takes to create costumes that not only dazzle on stage but also withstand the demands of countless performances. Their creative journey began with designing elaborate costumes for their drag personas, Summer and Twila Holiday, which soon evolved into something greater.
From Passion to Profession
By 2017, Joshua's passion for costume design grew beyond their personal projects, and Collins Creative was born, launched out of their garage with a dream to bring bold, innovative designs to life. Word quickly spread about their performer-first approach, and by 2020, Collins Creative had expanded to a larger, rented space to keep up with demand.
Building the Dream Team
In 2022, Collins Creative took a major step forward, welcoming Cherylin and Mya, long-time performance friends, as the company’s first employees. Their shared experience as performers added even more depth to the team’s unique insight into the world of costume design, and together, they fulfilled Collins Creative’s first vendor contract.
Thriving
The momentum continued in 2023 when the company acquired its first dedicated building, giving the growing team a permanent home. Collins Creative has become a premier costume shop, known for turning creative visions into reality. Whether creating for Theme Parks or Cruise Lines, we pride ourselves on designing costumes that captivate audiences and perform flawlessly, show after show.
